Roter is by the exceedingly good Rubinstein son, Rotspon.
Rotspon won his 11 month test at Adelheidsdorf in 1998 with the outstanding result of 148.82 points.  Impressive for a dressage stallion, Rotspon also acquitted himself very well in the jumping portion of the test, finishing 7th of 38 stallions with a 118.74.  His FN breeding index in 2005 was an outstanding 155 for dressage.

Roter has been a pleasure and privilege to live with and to ride.  His elegance, black color and elegant type turns heads where ever he goes.  He exhibits the elastic, high-quality gaits one has come to expect from Rotspon, and the rideability of both his sire and damsire, Matcho AA.
Finishing 8th of 30 stallion in dressage with a score of 117, and straight 8's for temperament, willingness to work and character.  He was gelded during the winter and imported after the Elite auction in April 2005.
After a hugely successful show season this summer, Roter Milan and rider Inga Janke put in a polished performance in the Five-Year-Old division at the National Championships.  The pair posted scores of 7.92 (preliminary test) and 7.86 (final  test)  for  an    overall score of 7.884 to capture third  place  in  the  National
Young Horse Dressage Championships!  Highlights of the tests included 8.5 and 9.0 for walk!  Judges comments included: “Long, elastic strides; happily willing to work.”
